@Roy - Honestly, if you're going to spend the money, regardless of if the 11 goes down in price, I'd go for the 21. You have a NATIVE 24p mode which is what we're used to seeing in motion pictures, not just "Cinema Mode" (actually records at 60 interlaced and then interpolates it to 24p, "craptastic").. But the BIGGEST sell point to me on the 21 is the Image Stabilization. You'll not only be able to record at cinema quality, but you'll be able to keep camera shake from making your movies look like they were recorded by amateur hands. You won't have to purchase any stabilization equipment..

Those two features are really all that set this model apart from the HF S11, but are WELL worth it. I finally upgraded my DSLR camera body to the new 7D and it shoots at a native 24p as well.. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but let me tell you, having the feature when you want to use it, really makes you feel good about your purchase.

I've learned something about electronics. Get what you want and don't feel bad about it.

This is good stuff right here....great advice man. I'm in the market for a Canon camcorder....any tips? I'm looking at either the soon to be released HF S21, or the HF S11, if the price drops after the S21 is released.
