Great photos! Natural born artist with the camera. You guys need to let me in on the next shoot. I would love to have some photos of our cars but photography wasn't in my cards when God made me. I make one heck of an assistant.

Waijai, thanks for the criticism, I intend to work on more wide angled shots in the future where I can extend the amount of space around the car in a controlled setting... I guarantee, based on where we were shooting, the area to the left and right would have detracted from the image, not enhanced it. However, like I said w/ KHahn, filling the frame w/ my subject is part of my style, although rule of thirds is actually still followed. Just as my slight tilting of the frame is also part of my style. I will, however, experiment with other aspects of standardized automotive photography in future shoots. Thanks again for taking the time to throw me some ideas.

I agree with kHahn. A lot of the full car shots are very close up with no space on the edges of the frame. It actually makes me feel cramped/suffocated when I look at those shots. A car is a mode of transportation used to move you somewhere. Although these are static shots of the car, you still want to feel like this car can move you. You don't want to feel boxed in. Rule of thirds is very important in car photography IMO. But balance in the shot and adequate space are equally important to the car itself.

Thanks Skyline.. We were driving all around deep ellum to find spots that brought out both of our cars.. We've been trying to get together to do a shoot for a while now, I have a feeling this won't be the last you see of our cars in the same frame.. (Devilish laugh)
